I love ice-cold Borscht, -- with bits of 'Detroit Red Beets' -- both Russian and Ukrainian style, with big globs of Sour Cream (Smetana) floating upon... (that's part my ancestral heritage expressing itself)
Best thing in the Summer! (especially now, here in Palm Springs where I am giving a presentation at a retreat... hee, hee, 107 degree's in the shade! 13% humidity, I cannot get my hubby off the damn Golf Courses!!!! -- So named by some Spanish explorer in the 17th Century as a place like being in: "la Palma de la Mano de dios" - "The Palm of God's hand". heh, the Spanish Conquistadors were too polite, back then, to say what they really meant: See: Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sinners_in_the_Hands_of_an_Angry_God) -Jonathan Edwards
