You know that point halfway between sleep and awake where you're not unconscious yet, but you can't really control what you're thinking? I'm pretty convinced that my id is the last thing to go to sleep and the first thing to wake up. Because I can be perfectly fine and know that everything's going to be ok despite minor stumbles, but when I get almost all the way asleep suddenly OH NOES WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE BECAUSE WE COULDN'T CHECK IN ONLINE AHEAD OF ARRIVING AT THE AIRPORT!!!1!!1!11! I swear I barely slept last night. And then woke up at 5:30am. Seriously, I know conciously that everything is going to be fine. But I can't convince my subconcious of this.

(Besides completely inappropriate terror, half-asleep me is also prone to fits of dazzling, uncontrollable rage. Chuckro continues to survive, despite such incredible crimes such as twitching or breathing a little too loud, solely because while half-asleep me only takes over after the sleep paralysis kicks in. Conscious-me loves my husband and thinks he's terrific. Half-asleep me hates everyone in the whole world with a fiery undying RAGE-FILLED HATE and would cheerfully set everything on fire because of that BUZZING, WHAT IS THAT BUZZING MAKE IT STOP I HATE EVERYONE. Half-asleep me is not very nice, and I'm glad she isn't physically capable of moving.)

Oh, and BTW

By The Way, tea does Not have Caffeine in it!
It has Theophylline (dimethylxanthine) in trace amounts which is structurally similar to caffeine and has similar but not exact effects. also found in cocoa beans...

Theophylline also relaxes bronchial smooth muscle tissue and is effective in treating asthma and COPD.

Interesting thing about Theophylline is taking it late in the evening reduces the bio-absorption rate significantly.
