I'm a little loopy today. The weird sleeping and eating schedules over the weekend kinda messed up my internal clock.

Lovely Thanksgiving. So much food. Of course. My Toll House pie apparently has become one of the big smash hits - it got rapidly devoured, and my mother-in-law grabbed the last piece and hoarded it. She was eating it in half-inch slices every few hours when we left.

The odder, more interesting event was my high school 5 year reunion. I ended up staying with a friend, since my parents no longer live in my old home town. We showed up about 15-20 minutes after the starting time, and there were maybe six people in the room, all girls. Eventually, people drifted in - probably about 100 in all, maybe 2/3 girls. It was interesting. For starters, I'd say 90% of the women were wearing black tops and heeled shoes, with their hair down. Apparently we all decided to play it safe. The guys were almost all wearing dark shirts and khakis. People ended up kind of clumped into the same social circles as in high school. A lot of the girls were doing the squealy "oh my god" huggy thing, which was a little disturbing when it was coming from girls I was only acquaintences with - and not at all from the girls I was actually friends with. Maybe because it was loud, but I feel like most of the girls were pitching their voices higher than their normal speaking tones, too.

But I briefly caught up with a bunch of nice people, and discovered that a bunch of people I wasn't very close to but was fond of have moved to New York. I have a collection of email addresses now, and I'll probably try to meet up with people for dinner and such now that I know they're in the area.

No, I actually had a really good time. There were people I hadn't seen in awhile that I enjoyed seeing, and the random stuff I mentioned was very entertaining. We hung out until we got bored, and then left.
