Someone gave us a Williams-Sonoma gift card as a wedding present. Over the weekend, we went on a gift-card spree. I now have four of those gorgeous cookbooks (they were on sale). Roasting, Pasta, Asian, and Mexican. If we can't come with ideas for dinner for the next couple months, we're hopeless.

On one hand, I'd really like to try making my own mole sauce. On the other, I'm totally intimidated. The recipe is three pages long, and calls for three different exotic peppers (not to mention the different seeds and spices, some of which I've never heard of before). There's a project for a drizzly weekend in February...

Not until I can get it to come out right. Also, where the heck do you get Mexican chocolate? (Apparently it's different than other kinds.)

Clearly, we must go to Mexico. Is there a TDF for Mexico???

The recipe I have must not be authentic. But it's delicious and I used regular bakers chocolate and no weird things I never heard of. Or maybe it's the same one you have and I just changed it to make it easier to shop for - I always do that, (with mixed results).

Well, I may try your version at some point. I'm a little intimidated by mine.

But there's a bunch of other recipes that are less scary, so the book's still worth it. Also, pretty.
