I love Halloween.
Low key celebration this year - we were kinda busy. :) Simple pumpkin - just a face, eating one of the little pumpkins we used for placecards at the wedding. I was a gypsy, Chuckro was a priest - costumes made out of stuff already in the closet.
We expected to have only a couple of people over, but by yesterday afternoon things had ballooned a bit. Good thing we overcook.
Speaking of cooking - we did meatcups. The idea was individual meatloafs baked like cupcakes, that you could frost with mashed potatoes and decorate with veggies and condiments. Well, they came out more like meatballs, but that was ok. They were delicious. And then we made actual cupcakes and decorated them.
Oh dear, so much candy.
And I got my dose of cuteness - the stores on the main street were all giving out candy, and I passed hordes of little trick-or-treaters in all their cuteness on the way home. There was a mummy and a witch swinging on the swings in the park. Awwww!
