A friend of mine ended up with random Mets tickets for giving blood. So I went to a Mets game last night. Whee!

They kicked ass. 7-0. A nice in-the-park home run, too. Poor Dodgers - it was a little embarrassing.

Perfect night for it, too - great weather. I'm sleepy on my conference call this morning, though. Man, Shea Stadium is in the middle of nowhere.

How did you get to the middle of nowhere? It was a great night for a ball game. I gave blood yesterday and got a mail-in coupon for a discount on Phillies tickets for next season. Kind of a back-handed offer in comparison to just being handed tickets.

Yes, but that would have cost more and also required backtracking to Penn Station.
