I've managed to screw up the skirt I was trying to make pretty badly. And did something to the sewing machine my grandmother gave me that seems to have it permanently jammed.
Actually, I'm having trouble thinking of a sewing machine store that wasn't a specific brand (like Singer) or part of a big fabric store that didn't do vacuums as well. I guess the only people who sell sewing machines and only sewing machines are the specific brands' stores.
Ignore the whiny girl. Her mother will take the machine back to the original shop where it has an extended warranty, and get it fixed. All will be well. This is assuming her mother can't fix it herself. She just wants to vent.
What else is an LJ for? I mean, I totally missed out on broadcasting my teenage angst to the world. They can at least listen to my 20-something angst now.
If my crafting were dependent on machines, I'd be whiny, too. I'd be unable to do the projects I want and thus, whine. It's just cute that she's crafty. I'm all for yay! feminism means we don't have to sew, but let's do it because we choose to because, he hee, girly.
