Gah! The rain! The lightning!

I got into work, settled in, was checking my email - and suddenly this hugeomongous storm breaks! OMG so much water WTF????

It's so dark and rainy that you can't see the street from our 17th floor office.

In other news, I am a terrible daughter who forgot to call either her father or her future mother-in-law on their birthdays, both of which were yesterday.

Is the rain a comment on your lack of daughterly diligence? I think not, since the only reason you didn't call was because you'd already checked off those responsibilities in your mind because you'd made plans to celebrate both events in other ways. I'm sure you are forgiven, despite the signs from the sky.

Call parents on their birthdays? Wow. What a concept :) The only birthday we remember with any regularity is the younger sibling's, since there's a tremendous to-do from her if we forget.

Well, in theory, this should be relatively easy to remember. My father and Chuckro's mother have the same birthday, my mother's a couple days after that, and my brother a few days after that. Four birthdays in a week.

This is part of the advantage of only having 2 close relatives that I care about. And one of their birthdays is easy to remember because it's also Mole Day.

Man, my birthday season hasn't even begun (or is just recently over, depending on how you look at it). Good luck keeping track, I know I lose it all the time...
