I've been looking at old LJ posts. Man, I miss the days of posts nearly every day and 20 comments. And I should ping a lot of people on email or FB sometime soon - there's a bunch of folks I haven't heard from in a while.

Also, there's something about reading your old entries. I was still me - the writing style is similar, I remember a lot of this - but man, I was so young.

I miss those days as well! I find Facebook too broadly public and Twitter too abbreviated, but LJ was great in terms of the thought/content and privacy balance.

I read through some old entries too. What amazes me is how much of the non-journaled events are lost now -- I remember the ones I wrote down, even the non-documented details, much better than the other events of my life. Just reinforces how important journaling is to me, and it's a shame that without as strong a social pull to do it, it's hard to keep going.

Totally agreed. I do keep reading here and on LJ, and it's mostly you and chuckro and one other friend who post.

I have a new goal to be more balanced in my life. Maybe a part of that could be posting again...
