We took ARR out to the carnival in Liberty State Park. Bought waaaay too many ride tickets, ended up giving some away. (To be fair, I'd bought assuming a couple rides on the Ferris Wheel like last year, where at least one of us would need to accompany him. But then we discovered the row of bouncy castles, and that was really all he wanted to do, and those needed way fewer tickets.)

The headline act this year was the Village People. And having seen them (or ringers for them? it was unclear how many of them were original), I just cannot wrap my head around what was going on there. Like, what thought process turned into "In the Navy"? I'd kinda like to see a Behind the Music on them now. But it was ridiculous, and fun. And wet. Because it started pouring on us. Oh well.

I looked them up on wikipedia, and it turns out two of the guys, including the Indian, are the originals. They haven't released an album since 1985, but they've been touring all this time. That...sounds like hell to me. For real.

Wow, he looks great for however old he is.

It's not the life I would want, for sure. But then, they'd probably say that office life sounds like hell to them, and they'd rather be on the road.

I saw Fulop's FB pic with them and thought they couldn't possibly all be the same dudes. I'm amazed that some of them still are.
