ARR's been a little on the cranky side all day--I'm a little concerned he's coming down with something. (No symptoms, just crankiness.) But despite the cranks, he was still remarkably good for our various expeditions today. We went to visit Daddy at his office for lunch. (Neither Chuckro nor I had off today--I took a floating holiday, since daycare was closed.) ARR was super adorable and charmed the pants off all of Chuckro's coworkers.

Then after a cranky wake up from nap, he was cheered up by a train ride and a trip to Liberty Science Center with J. Our family membership is worth every penny. ARR could easily spend a couple hours in the little kids' room alone. Last time we visited, we basically saw that and a corner of another room. This time, we made it to the live animals room, where we saw monkeys (one of ARR's favorite things). And it turns out that upstairs there's an exhibit on dredging that includes a backhoe (one of ARR's other favorite things) that you can operate yourself. And fish bigger than ARR. A good time was had.

Chaotic, though--I'd forgotten that LSC has a Sukkot set up in the back field. Which meant that the museum was completely packed with Hasidic families. Enormous numbers of kids, relatively few grownups. Everyone was relatively well behaved, it was just much more crowded than I'd been anticipating. So many people! Fortunately, ARR plays well with others.
