Much accomplished

Both sets of parents came over. Our bedroom is painted (lavender), and the downstairs den is mostly painted (an awesome combo of moss green and intense dark blue that's really striking and I looooove). The front bed is planted with flowers. We tore out and replaced the rotting beams in two of the back beds; dug out, lined, and replaced the soil of the two beds that contain edibles; and put flowers, veggies, and herbs in the back. Did a lot of sweeping of the outside. Assembled two cabinets and part of a desk. Sewed one pillow cover and half the new futon cover.

Still to do: rest of futon cover and another pillow. Touch ups in the basement, painting the kitchen cabinets and the downstairs bathroom door and trim. Assembling the rest of the desk, another cabinet, and two bookshelves.

There's still a lot of little things to be done, but it's going to be so nice when it's done. I love this house so much.

I'm really glad we're replacing the carpet downstairs next week, though. We completely destroyed it yesterday. Dirt, paint, you name it.
