JC goes all out

Apparently our city decided to make up for the last two Halloweens being ruined. (Thank you, Sandy and freak snowstorm.) Every single neighborhood seemed to have a thing. ARR got to go to a Halloween party, be in two costume parades, see the gazebo in the park next door all decorated (there were cookies and candy and cider for us older folks), and briefly visit a petting zoo that was part of the Halloween extravaganza on the front lawn of City Hall. We skipped two other costume parades I briefly considered, the trunk-or-treat, the trick or treating all along downtown, and the crafts and photo op at the farmer's market. And the bulk of the City Hall stuff, really. But man, I hope they keep this up. In a year or two, Little Man is going to have some epic Halloweens.

(As it was, he got three good wearings out of his King Kong costume, so I feel like that was a justified purchase.)
