A non-baby, non-book review post!

We had a party yesterday. It's nice when experimental test subjects friends come over. So, of course, I experimented on them.

You know dessert pizza? Chuckro and I had what started as a hypothetical discussion of the concept of dessert lasagna, which rapidly became non-hypothetical. After some debate, we finally settled on using crepes instead of noodles, white chocolate cream cheese mousse instead of cheese, crumbled brownies for ground beef, and raspberry jam for tomato sauce. (Slightly different proportions, of course.) Everything (except for the jam) of course having to be made from scratch. Which ended up kind of melting into each other in a glorified trifle.

We're crazy people.

Turns out crazy is delicious.

I've been wanting to come up with some kind of dessert version of Ethiopian food. Seems like crepes would be a good substitute for injera...

You are crazy people, but.... you wouldn't happen to remember the rough proportions, do you?

Well, it was a full batch of crepes from Joy of Cooking, a 13x9 batch of brownies, a jar of raspberry jam, and 8 oz cream cheese/1 cup white chocolate/1 cup cream worth of mousse. I don't remember all of the ingredients.

Layer of crepes, layer of mousse, crumbled brownie, layer of jam. Repeat. Top with a third layer of crepes. I melted the rest of the white chocolate with a little milk and butter for a ganache-y thing and spread it over the top, and sprinkled with powdered sugar.
