The increased mobility of course means that we have to be much more careful around ARR. (He still sucks at crawling, but he's got a pretty good army crawl going. It takes him some time, but he gets where he wants to go.) I'm sweeping the floor at least every other day, mopping the entire apartment every couple days, and half our furniture has been replaced or altered.

But it does mean that he's now capable of entertaining himself for stretches of time. He still wants me in sight, he still wants to check in and make eye contact regularly, and he gets anxious if he thinks no one is paying attention to him. But I can let him drag himself around the bedroom while I fold laundry, and he's perfectly happy. Or put him in an exersaucer in the kitchen so I can do dishes, or make myself some lunch. Which means it's now possible to do chores while he's awake. You guys. This is huge.

He still hates it when I take a shower, though.
