Title: Grave Goods
Author: Ariana Franklin
Genre: Historical mystery (medieval, 3rd in series)
Thingummies: 3
Synopsis: Our intrepid female doctor tries to figure out whether or not bones unearthed in an abbey fire belong to King Arthur and Guinevere.
Thoughts: I'm still enjoying this series, but I think it's starting to go downhill.
This particular book features less one big mystery than several little ones, many of which are resolved with whimpers instead of bangs. The way that the primary villain and culprit are each disposed of felt particularly random to me.
That said, I still enjoy Adelia and her interactions with the various supporting cast. Especially King Henry II, whom our author clearly has a historical crush on. Because he's always entertainingly awesome.
