Well, my very first campaign is all wrapped up. *sniff* Thanks to my players for not totally derailing my plot, despite their best efforts.

/me is very confused by the above discussion. And curious. And sad that /me hasn't had a chance to role play in a while.

You think you're confused, when I heard "campaign" I thought it had to be workplace-related.

What, like an ad campaign?

In any case, she's talking about a story-arc of roleplaying games that she ran over the last couple of months.

Character A (Sally, a rather ugly and uncouth village wisewoman) was lusting after Character B (Dr. Cooper, a dapper physician who, unbeknownst to almost anyone else in the party, is gay). She tried to cast a love spell on him, but botched. To her knowledge, there were no effects.

A few days later, in game time, Sally successfully ensnared Non-Player Character A (Alec, a feckless fop with the brains of a chicken). Alec got dragged along with the party as they went to Africa.

In Africa, the party picked up a bad-luck charm, a wooden monkey. They did not realize for some time that it was a bad-luck charm (since no one bothered to examine it closely). They ended up participating in a pre-raid ritual with a tribe, and drank a noxious tasting liquid. The liquid was a potion that had minor effects that boosted their morale and perception. However, under the influence of Mr. Bad Luck Monkey, the potion interacted with the remnants of the botched potion in Dr. Cooper's bloodstream.

Several hours later, Sally realized that Alec had gone missing. When searching for them, she and another party member found Alec and Dr.Cooper in a rather embarrassing situation. Because Dr.Cooper's orientation was such that he wouldn't be attracted to Sally even if she were not horribly ugly, the potion rebounded and made him fall into lust with Sally's boytoy.

Horror and bewilderment ensue. The DM chuckles evilly.
