We're working our way into a routine that actually is somewhat functional, which is really quite nice. (He was up from 3:30-4:15 last night, after having gone to bed around 9:30, and then didn't wake up until 7:30am. I actually woke him up at 3:30--I was sufficiently uncomfortable I needed him to eat so I could go back to sleep. Note to self: start getting up at 1am to pump and then feeding him when he wakes.)

But several times, we've worked out a way to make him happy, only to have him adapt several days later. The swing used to put him right to sleep, even from full screaming fit. Now, he stays awake if he thinks something interesting is happening in the room (although it does keep him quieter). The car seat has ceased to work as a napping place almost entirely. How long will the swaddle blanket work before the little guy adapts? Who knows!

Resistance is futile. You will be awakened.

Yes, that is a kind thing to do.

I hope ARR hasn't been keeping the neighbors up. He screams at kind of random times at the moment, and I swear we try to get him to stop, but there's only so much you can do. We can't hear the other babies in the building so much that it's annoying, so hopefully it's not too bad...
