Wow, I got nothing accomplished...

Had a list of stuff to do over the three day weekend. Did none of it.

Well, that's not totally true. We did a bunch of chores. We went bowling. I bought socks and restocked the liquor cabinet.

But that was about it. Instead of writing/planning the honeymoon/buying rings/making doctor's appointments/sewing/responding to letters/mailing stuff/doing taxes/organizing finacial stuff or any of the dozen other things I meant to do, I read, slept, and watched some movies. And slept some more.

Zzzz.

Wow. Chuck does the laundry and cleans bathrooms! You got a good one, Rebecca. :) We have a tiny bit of the traditional-role-reversal thing going on (I do all the fixing/installing and most of the financials) but not really (I also do most of the cleaning/cooking, grr).

We each do our own financials, but he does a lot of consulting on mine. He does the laundry and bathrooms because he kind of likes it, and I do mopping and the kitchen cleaning because I kind of like those. I also do the ironing, which I don't like, but don't hate with the undying passion he does. We both cook, but he tends to do more of the cooking and food shopping because he usually gets home at least an hour or two before me. I do the majority of the dishes. I do aesthetic stuff. Other stuff - fixing things, assembling things, trash, vacuuming, etc. - is by a case-by-case basis.

Yes, I got a good one. His mother did an excellent job of training him. We fully intend to make sure that all of our children, regardless of gender, leave the house knowing how to cook, repair clothing, balance a checkbook, and clean anything.

Yeah, I clean the bathrooms, vacuum, do the laundry, do most of the cooking and food shopping, and handle most of "our" financial stuff. She irons, mops, does most of the dishes, and is in charge of all things aestetic. And if she didn't make the bed in the morning, it wouldn't get done.
