Chuckro did a load of Smidgen-laundry so all his new things aren't all chemical-y when we need them. Smidge's socks are so tiny.

What's the exact due date? I don't remember if you said it was early or late February, but there's now a good chance we'll be in New York the weekend of Feb. 9-10 (they finally scheduled oral argument in the New Jersey trade secret case that was briefed over a year ago, for Feb. 11).

Feb 7. So there's a possibility that we might be available, but it's extremely tentative. (I'd love to see you, it's just that pretty much all plans come with an asterisk these days. If he's just come out, I'm probably not going to be up to visitors yet; if he hasn't, I might still be waddle-able.)

We've got a bunch of the ones that don't have thumbs--little hand-bags in the most literal way possible.

I think the newborn socks are so jaw-dropping because they look just like my socks, only I can fit, like, my thumb in them. The little tiny onesies and hats and stuff are also tiny, but it's not like I wear onesies. The socks just emphasize how incredibly small he's going to start out.
