Google "[your name] was killed by". Take the interesting ones.

"Rebecca was killed by ricocheting bullets."
Ouch.

"Rebecca was killed by Luther, the Immortal..."
The great thing about a "classic" name - all kinds of interesting characters share it.

"Rebecca was killed by the Hunter, Chris/Jill was never rescued, and you kept Barry's gun."
You should really give the gun back to Barry.

"Rebecca was killed by the Indians and her husband and three brothers became Indian fighters."
Fighters of Indians, or those who fight for Indians?

"Rebecca was killed by Vann Holt, a Feebee-turned-private-security-king"
What's a Feebee?

"Rebecca was "killed" by Rictus when he forced her to drink the blood from the vial and she went into beastial [sic] state and attacked the vampires at the Marina inn."
Die, vampires, die! That'll teach you to make me drink blood from vials. Or something.

I've also been killed by lightning, a cyclone, and of course, several drunk drivers.

Oh, for the judicious use of a hyphen.

Or Indians who fight?

Ok, this is just morbid. And coincidentally, a girl on Penn's campus was hit by a richocheting bullet on Saturday night. She's ok, but the three guys who were having the gunfight didn't fare so well. This place is becoming the Wild West, (but without Indian fighters in any category.)

Which is why we tend to try to discourage gunfights, methinks. And to be just a bit vindictive, they had it coming.

Becoming? I thought it had had a much worse reputation five or ten years ago.

Well, Chuckro, they might have had it coming, but the innocent passersby did not.

It was remarkably quiet for years. There's just been this recent "uptick" (says our security force - the largest private one in the state) that is escalating. Some guy was killed in a diner across the street from campus on Christmas day. Just some strangers arguing, and none of them Penn-related. I mean we all know this is the city, but is hasn't been this bad for about ten years. There's really no explanation that I know of, but if it doesn't affect applications soon, I'll be surprised.

Sigh. I know that. And I certainly didn't mean to imply that. Damn lack of inflection.
