I've given up and moved on into maternity pants. (A brief experiment with pants extenders did not go particularly well.) While I've got a couple skirts and two pairs of pants that still fit, they'll probably only last another couple weeks. And then, it occurs to me, the only zippers I'll use are coat zippers for several months. It's an odd thought.

I'm sure these pants would drive me nuts if I were not pregnant, with their super low waist and far too much fabric on top and useless pockets and general weirdness but right now it's so amazingly comfortable to have something that doesn't pinch I cannot begin to say. I think I could sleep in my work pants if I had to. They're stretchy and soft and did I mention stretchy? Stretchy is awesome.

You could try Thai fisherman pants. Or the wrap-around pants (I have a blue embroidered pair from Beijing) like this: http://img1.etsystatic.com/003/0/6402425/il_570xN.359318865_i6rh.jpg Or a pair Japanese hakama; they sell those in martial arts stores. ;)

Actually, I could lend you my Chinese pants and a pair of hakama two weeks from now, if you like... I'll be flying into JFK two Tuesdays from now.

I am a fan of stretchiness too. Although I've stopped wearing pants since I moved. Only skirts and dresses now. Glee! (I've always had issues with finding pants that fit.)
