Shades of Easter Bunnies Past

The Mayo Clinic says there's nothing that can be done to prevent stretch marks--they're sub-dermal, so no cream is actually going to penetrate to where the damage is being done. But old wives' tales say that cocoa butter is supposed to help, and my skin is increasingly itchy (and weirdly peeling in a couple places), so I figured it couldn't hurt, right?

I smell overwhelmingly like a candy store. It's like being hit in the face with a giant block of white chocolate.

Try sweet almond oil.

Not sure smelling like I rolled in amaretto is really that much better.

Ooh, I know--I can use both and add on Hawaiian Tropic sunscreen, and smell like an Almond Joy!

When I was in my early teens, I used Retin-A on stretch marks. However, I don't know if it's safe to use during pregnancy.

Probably not--nothing useful is.

And that's a bad thing?

When it's this overwhelming, yeah, unfortunately. It's like having someone ram cheap chocolate up your nose. It's almost choking. :P

This is why I threw out the sample of cocoa butter we got at the chocolate show. I refuse to use hygiene products that smell like food.
