- There are a lot more laboratory warning signs in existence than I realized.

- Everything looks grosser suspended in water in a specimen jar. But cauliflower particularly so.

- You can tie-dye spaghetti.

- Snap, a gingersnap-flavored liquor (blackstrap molasses, ginger, and cardemom), is fantastic in apple cider.

- Dry ice doesn't bubble all that much when hit by snow.

- Our friends had Alice in Wonderland on the brain. (A Mad Hatter, two very different Queen of Hearts, and a Beamish Boy from Jabberwocky.)

I didn't get any Snap last night! I must have some next time I'm over (if you've any left).

There's plenty - it's relatively strong stuff (both alcohol content and flavor), so a little goes a long way.

Tie-die spaghetti? (Thanks for the party!)

The spaghetti in the sample jars came out the most unusual mottled colors when I dumped it out...

I noticed that. It was oddly aesthetically pleasing.

Thank you for a great party!

I know. I particularly liked the purple and green.

...now I feel like i have to go stick my romanesco cauliflower in a specimen jar to see what it looks like. Also, I want to try tie-dyeing spaghetti now.

May or may not be as cool--the roundedness looked rather like little brains.
