On irons and fires

A few minutes ago, I caught sight of myself in the mirror and realized how utterly ridiculous I looked. I was wearing nothing but a sports bra, running shorts, and two gigantic oven mitts. I'd just come back from a run and was using my cool down period to cook a spaghetti squash for lunch while sewing part of my Halloween costume, but had gotten interrupted by a phone call from the New York Philharmonic, who have noticed after I bought some tickets to them and the ballet and the opera that I might be a good prospect for begging. I've managed to fend off the telemarketer and rescue the squash and finish fussing with a pile of brown fur, and I can take my shower now. I need to finish at least another 1000 words on my novel before I'm allowed to play any more Portal.

...and it occurred to me that perhaps I have a few too many hobbies.
