Comfortably numb?

I can't feel my face. Stupid fillings.

I really need to not answer the phone for a few hours. I'm slurring in a really comical way that my coworkers think is hilarious. (They're not being mean, they're right. I sound ridiculous.)

Two, but it's one on the upper right and one on the lower left. (I've had a lot of doctor appointments recently and really couldn't be out of the office to get them done separately, so the dentist did them both at once.)

In my experience, there's no such thing as comfortably numb. Disconcertingly numb, yes, but not comfortably.
