One of the restaurants near work that has outdoor seating (deserted today, obviously) has a table set up on the sidewalk with free pitchers of iced lemon water and cucumber water and about six squirt guns. There's a little note encouraging people to spritz themselves and have fun, as long as they put everything back when they're done.

It's really sweet, especially given that the heat has to be costing them a lot of short term business. But I'd bet it helps in the long run.
