We went to see Rent last night. It wasn't bad - lots of nitpicky stuff to complain about, but overall, it was well done. The problem is now I have random Rent songs stuck in my head. At least they're good songs.

There was much visiting of families this weekend, of course. Went to Chuckro's parents' for Thanksgiving. And a very pleasant Thanksgiving it was. A staggering amount of food - like two pounds of turkey per person. And almost as many desserts as entrees. (Two different pumpkin pies, two lemon meringue pies, an amaretto cake, a chocolate raspberry cake, my Tollhouse pie, a cheesecake with cherries, brownies, cookies, homemade whipped cream, whipped cream in a can, and Pumpkin Pie in the Sky ice cream from Coldstone Creamery.) My Tollhouse pie went over very well, which was pleasing.

I left Chuckro to study and visited my folks Saturday. My mom and I bought a bunch of craft supplies - we're making everybody new stockings. Ours are all really old and starting to get dingy, and Chuckro needs one of his own. We got some really gorgeous stuff - velvet with metallic swirls and lace and ribbon and trim and silver and gold bells. Squee!

And I'm pretty much done my Christmas shopping. Squee again!

Damn you! I'll finish my Christmas shopping next March, I'm sure.

It's the first time in years and years I've been done this early.

She's even finished before me, and I started almost two months ago. Though I was delayed by various other things going on. (And I'm not as bad as my sister, who's typically done shopping before summer officially ends.)
