All the towels

I started this trip with three bath towels in my room. I went swimming and washed my hair and used all three. Which I then hung up, because I don't really believe in washing perfectly good towels after one use.

Usually, hotel maids will replace used towels, or if they're hung up neatly, just leave them be. Mine opted to leave them be. And also replace them. So now I have six towels.

I am here for four nights. Am I going to end up with twelve towels by the end?

Has it been just one night so far? Because then you should expect 3*2^4 = 48 towels. You could make towel art.

Well, the question is, do they give me three new towels every day, replace any towels that look used every day, or just double the number of towels in the room?
