You may never figure out where it came from. But once you've got it, nothing will ever make it go away. Oh, it'll die down, of course. You might go months without seeing a sign. But it will flare up again, where and when you least expected it. Once you've got herpes, I mean, glitter, you've got it for life. And if you touch anything else, it will spread, even if you didn't realize you had glitter on you at the time.

Why is this relevant? I've got glitter on my desk. No idea where it came from. And it's the superfine microscopic stuff, too. Repeated mopping downs removes immense quantities of glitter, and yet, the next day there's more somehow. There's now glitter in the invoices. And the files. It's in my keyboard. We very well may send out binders with glitter in them. I've done my best, but I will still pick up papers and realize that it looks like it was attacked by a three-year-old at craft time.

Sigh.
