Not the best start to a morning

Had a really distressing nightmare last night in which Chuckro died. The beginning was bad enough, in which I watched him crash his helicopter (?) into a lake. But then the bulk of the dream was about trying to put my life back together without him. About trying to find all the financial records and move all the money and deal with his possessions. About arguing with the insurance company. About quitting my job and moving away to somewhere else. About people encouraging me to date again, and not being ready to do so.

Woke up totally wrecked. Do not recommend.

Yeah. It was horrible. I was really, truly convinced he was gone, to the point that when I woke up and he was right there next to me, I was shocked and disoriented. He had some trouble getting his socks on this morning because I wouldn't let go of him.

Years ago, I had one of those dreams concerning his father. I was so terrified that he was dead that I woke up and tried to put muy finger under his nose to make sure he was breathing. Unfortunately, it was dark and I didn't have my glasses on so I stuck my finger UP his nose. He woke up and calmly said, "Woman, what ARE you doing?"
I sobbed, "Oh, thank God you're alive!"
To which he replied, "But I'd be doing a whole lot better if you'd take your finger out of my nose."

Ah yes. I've heard this story enough times that I was not tempted to stick fingers up his nose.
