Disappointing fruit

Just bit into my second mouthful of fermenting fruit in two days. (Unrelated - one was a mango that I'd just bought that turned out to be squishier once I peeled it than I realized, the other a honeydew that had sat in the fridge slowly being eaten over the course of a week.)

Slimy and unpleasantly cloying. Ugh.

Oh, I'm sorry. The honeydew was definitely on its last legs when I had some this morning, but it was edible. Six more hours was enough to kill it?

Apologies. It's the first time I've used the word. It makes sense that it would be spelled that way, though.

Yeah, that's a better mental image than the one I just had of Chewbacca growling because he didn't get his way with the spelling of Chubecca :)
