Outside

...is currently very cold.

I went for a walk in the park at lunch. Lots of fun going out, got some pretty pictures of holly and ducks in the snow. Coming back? Hell. Wind in the face all the way. I'm just starting to be able to feel my ears again. And the snow has really picked up.

Not entirely sure whether that was a good idea or not.

In order to see how the snow's accumulating, I'd have to go into someone's office and look down. So I guess I'll be surprised, one way or another, come five o'clock. I totally am craving Starbucks--it's that kind of day--but no way am I going back outside until I have to.

Do not go outside unless the indoors you return to is your house. You will be completely soaked. Everything on my outer layer was covered in snow, all of my inner layers were damp with sweat. It's the kind of heavy snow that is absolutely amazing for snowball fights and making snowmen, but that means it's really difficult to walk in. Plus, in many places there's still a layer of slush beneath, so your shoes will get wet too. I had to ditch practically everything I was wearing and start over fresh. If I was in an office, I would have been miserable.

I forgot you were at home! This makes more sense now.

I just got home. Walking through the park, there were four snowmen that I saw (one over nine feet tall), and at least three more in progress. Perfect snow for snowmen doesn't happen often, and this is definitely the stuff.
