We've extended our pod to include Chuckro's parents. (Especially critical going into the summer. We're piecing together a schedule for ARR.)
We were out there this weekend, and L had thoughtfully bought us some margarita mix after we'd wistfully mentioned drinks with umbrellas. Thing is, they don't really drink. But people have given them booze over the years. So they have the liquor cabinet o'randomness.
Which we then ended up sorting through, trying to determine which of these things were still food.
And I took notes, for your comic enjoyment!
Seagram's - not great, but still whiskey. Use for mixed drinks or baking?
Chivas Regal - Like getting punched in the face! This did not go bad, it's just bad.
Johnnie Walker Black - Peatier than Chuckro likes, but still food.
Tullamore Dew - This came in a novelty earthware jug. It was somehow corked. As in, pulling out the stopper caused the cork to disintegrate, and upon pouring out some of the odd smelling whiskey with bits of rotted cork floating in it, I refused to even taste it.
Chambord - Chuckro doesn't like. Seems to maybe still be food. Threw out anyway because it's half gone and really far too old for something this low proof.
Frangelico and Kahlua - We didn't even try them. Didn't seem safe.
Gilbey's Gin - All the aromatics appear to have aromatized off. This is...vodka.
Ketel One - Vodka. Does not have a taste. Congrats, still vodka!
Sambuca Romana - This...had a viscosity issue. We were not drinking this.
G&D Dry Vermouth - This included a faded sticker pricing it at $1.99. Umm. No.
Guarenia y Ires Licour 43 - Like getting punched in the face! With sugar! (Chuckro's dad commented it was like an alcoholic version of the vanilla syrup you put in coffee, with a off-putting chemical aftertaste.)
