Argh United
Apr. 5th, 2019 10:23 pmI have a bunch of miles on United. But apparently most of them don't count because Reasons and so on and so forth. Also, I'm frothing mad over having been booked in Basic Economy for Vegas without realizing it.
- You can't bring a carry on. Personal item only.
- You can't choose a seat. I'd chosen a seat on my company's booking site. They undid it.
- You're automatically in Group 5.
Also, the DirecTV options on the way over sucked.
This is coming to you now because as far as I can tell, there's no way to get a receipt for my bag checking fees, which were done online and supposedly had the receipt emailed to me, only they didn't. Which is going to involve adventures with reimbursements. Because checking in at the airport in Group 5 is suicide, but that means checking your bag electronically, which means you can't make the machine print the damn receipt. Arrgh. I also had to call my hotel and navigate their phone tree because they, too, did not send me a receipt. At least theirs came through 2 minutes after I called.
I've had a very long and frustrating day, and didn't stop working until half an hour ago when I started trying to deal with receipts. Will I be filing my expense report tonight and dealing with Concur? No, I will not.
