Stupid frost

We had a couple days of startling gorgeousness. Followed immediately by below freezing nights. Which means all of my plants enthusiastically burst into leaf and bloom, only to get killed by the frost. The rosebush is covered in dead leaves. I clipped off the worst to make room for replacements. The buckeye tree is also covered in dead leaves, pathetically flopping down. It's way to high for me to reach, so I guess we're stuck until they finally dry up enough to fall off. I hope it's soon. It looks kind of ridiculous, poor thing. I don't think I'm going to get more than a handful of daffodils from the front, which is the biggest disappointment. Stupid weather.
