Chuckro got a smoker box and we started experimenting yesterday. The pork roast was truly smoked--he couldn't keep the heat low enough and it finished cooking two hours early. But it was smok-Y--a little dry but great flavor and a beautiful lacquer. We also tried grilling some corn. Again, could use some improvement but still tasty. ARR approved very much of both. (Weird thing--he'll eat warmed up frozen corn but won't eat corn cut fresh from the cob. But he adores corn on the cob--he'll happily gnaw off every kernel.)
This morning, our garbage smells fantastic--like smoky leaves. (That would be the corn husks, I think.)
