Hardest working man in television
Jun. 7th, 2011 10:02 amI saw a taping of The Colbert Report last night with
ivy03,
mithras03, and
airspaniel. It was awesome. That poor man is a consummate professional. He was obviously sick as a dog (every time the cameras were off, he was blowing his nose and then they were powdering him up again to cover the red), but you couldn't tell when he was on. He also learned an important lesson about how a guy should wear a cup if he wants to try to ride a coin-operated horsey ride while filling a musket with powder and ringing a bell. (Thank you, Sarah Palin, for inspiring that particular reenactment of Paul Revere's ride.) And the guy just kept going, right on through the completely trippy interview with Werner Herzog, until he got on the horse again (for the closing credits). I was really, really impressed.
