Had another wedding anxiety dream last night. Basically, all the little details I haven't finished came back to haunt me. Somehow, Chuckro was both the groom and an honor attendant. (Maybe there were two of him? It seemed appropriate at the time, since he's my best friend, that he be an attendant too...) I was very concerned about the fact that we hadn't ordered the bridesmaid dresses yet. Since the wedding was the next day, I was worried that we wouldn't get them in time. I also was feeling that perhaps Chuckro's decision to wear the bridesmaid dress was a bit odd, although I couldn't put my finger on why. I just didn't think that it would look right, at least it wouldn't if he continued to refuse to shave his legs and chest. At the same time, I was concerned about what he was wearing as the groom. My brother had been convinced not to wear his dress uniform, but he was wearing this odd suit made of kind of sackcloth weight fabric in dark grey. One of the other groomsmen was wearing black satin with a tie of a different black material. I was worried that they didn't match, but reassured that at least Chuckro would stand out, because he was going to be wearing a bow tie with his tux.
I was at the ceremony, which was outside. But it was threatening to rain. The 10-piece band was being difficult. Chuckro was nowhere to be seen, and the bridal party were all scattered in the audience. I was concerned that we hadn't actually established what the cake was supposed to look like. I was trying to get the baker on the phone, and say that I wanted fall colors, and she was randomly gluing on metallic stars instead. The limo (what limo? I don't even want a limo) was at the bottom of the hill, which was slicked with wet leaves and I wasn't really sure how we were all going to get down after the ceremony.
Sheesh. Bridesmaid dresses, clothes for the groomsmen, music, cake, transportation - I managed to hit almost everything we don't have worked out yet.
Chuckro, you can wear what you want...but please don't wear a strapless, tea-length dress.
