On one hand, I'm doing well - I'm ahead of target, and I'm having an easier time making the daily quota than I thought I would. And I'm now over a fifth of the way to the 50,000 word goal.
On the other hand - I'm beginning to think I'm not going to be able to finish this story in 50,000 words. So now I'm not sure whether my goal is to get the 50,000 words done in November - which I think I can do - or actually finish the full novel's worth of story - which I'm not so sure of.
We'll see. But three chapters are down, all viewpoint characters are introduced, and there's only two more really important characters waiting to come on stage. And since one is the still-hazily defined villain (whose actions are somewhat less important for the first half of the book than those of his followers in general), I'm ok with that.
