Life slows down

Settling into a routine. Feels kind of good, actually - I was tired of not knowing what day it was and feeling like I had a million things that had to be done that day because I had no schedule. And my eating and sleeping schedules were all screwed up. Nice to have a little more predictability.

Spent the weekend doing birthday activities with the folks. First, chuckro's mom - we went to the Franklin Institute on Saturday (she likes hands on science museums). Then my parents - my dad has the same birthday as his mother, and my mom's only a few days after that, and my brother's in the same week. Ended up playing cards with family friends and getting ice cream. We went blueberry picking, which is always nice. I have a couple pounds of blueberries in my freezer waiting to be made into pie...mmmm...pie...
