Nightmare

You know that dream where you're taking a final and you can't remember anything on it?

I've never had that dream.

Until last night.

Why, brain? Why dredge this up for the first time four years after the last test you took?

(It was complicated by the fact that Chuckro was actually the teacher, and he wanted attention and affection but I wasn't finished the stupid test, but he wouldn't tell me what the answers were. He just kept pestering me. I was so mad at him. Poor Chuckro. I occasionally have dreams in which he's mean to me, and then he has to deal with me giving him the death glare in the morning when he hasn't actually done anything at all.)

I don't generally have that dream, but I do frequently have the dream where I only realize at the end of the semester that I'm signed up for a class that I didn't realize I was in, and then have to take the final without any preparation.

It is interesting how our nightmares do seem to revolve around school, even now.

This is the first nightmare I can remember that revolved around school. My nightmares are usually much more creative - old childhood friends severing their spines, face-eating pirates, pregnancies gone awry, and other horrible bloody or emotionally devastating events. I'm disappointed in my subconcious for being so very stereotypical.

I had a dream last night about taking a test (final?), too. It was an essay test, which I haven't had in who knows how long. I ended up getting a B.

This was a test on everything ever. History, biology, math. It was literally a half-inch thick.

Hmmm...actually, this sounds like my reality. I'm currently writing a document of about that thickness that will be on everything ever that I've done in grad school; it includes a great deal of history, biology, and math, and I am occasionally interrupted by people wanting attention.
