Dusty

Have finished dusting and vacuuming the bedroom. Holy crap, where does it all come from? Seriously!? I mean, there's stuff on the desk that I know for a fact has been there for five days, and it was covered in a layer of dust. Should you be able to accumulate offensibly visible dust in less than a week? Is it us - are we some kind of horrible dust-shedding mutants? Is it the window open? Is it the fan dug out of storage? Because this is disgusting!

It's the window. One word--pollen.

Since I've put the screen up on my door, it's mostly caught those wispy white fuzzy seed things that are littering the neighborhood like foam. My mom assures me that yes, that much crap can come from one tree.

I had thought that it couldn't be mostly pollen, because the kitchen window is open all the time. But now that I think about it, I wipe down most of the kitchen three or four times a day (basically, it's the last thing I do after using the kitchen before I leave the room), which I most assuredly do not do in the majority of the bedroom.

Ugh. One should not have to dust, say, keys, or postage stamps, or quarters. But they were on the desk, and each was individually filthy...
