In my office, we've had someone have a baby in February, another go into labor in the office on Friday, another whose wife is due in September, and another who just announced she's due in December. Another who had left our team shortly after getting pregnant had hers back in November or so. And there's another with a toddler. Our team's, like, 20 people. Did someone spike the water cooler with fertility drugs when I wasn't looking?
In other news, lessons from Reunions.
1) The bakery on Tulane St is both amazing and must be a mob front or something. Because as far as I could tell, the sole baked goods available for purchase were a single tray of the most heavenly croissants ever, which aren't available until 8:45 and are gone before 11.
2) White jackets and head wounds do not go well together.
3) While I've maintained some of the skills at singing and playing the flute, my endurance is shot.
4) I've finally mastered the hydration/sunscreen combo required to get through the P-rade.
5) I need to make Lime-mint sorbet soon. Maybe Wednesday.
6) Fireworks are pretty, even though I really kinda want to find every existing copy of the 1984 Tigerlilies recording of "Going Back" and burn them all. Maybe with fireworks.
7) Sit-down Asian food is quicker than the Hoagie Haven line. Twice, I ordered as friends walked by the window, and both times, we were getting the check as those friends walked back with their still-uneaten hoagies.
8) Princeton can apparently support an infinite number of ice cream stores. At this point, they have Halo Pub, T-Sweets, Bent Spoon, Ricky's, and a new yogurt place, and none of them have failed. I don't quite understand.
9) Katertoticus is slowly amassing a collection of cute Asian girls with horrible crushes on her.
10) "Yellow Submarine" is actually quite good for doing the Yatta dance to.

Date: 2009-06-01 06:26 pm (UTC)From:At this point, though, they'd risk majorly pissing off all the Tigerlily alums, so it really depends on how much money they donate, relative to the people who are pissed off by the use of the song.

Date: 2009-06-02 02:20 pm (UTC)From:The other was a freshman physics major who was also assigned to the suite we were crashing in. Soooo overwhelmed by Reunions. Also by friendly female physicist staying in her dorm for Reunions. Could not stop saying "I can't believe this! I can't believe how people come back!"
