Update on camera

A shiny new Canon Powershot A590 IS is on its way to me. Please have not steered me wrong, Mr. Intarwebs! (It looks like it's got most of the features I want, and the photos compare favorably to others in its price class. We'll see how this goes. If I find myself longing for a really nice one, we'll see what the SLRs are looking like in five years or so.)

It actually came down to the Canon or the Panasonic Lumix LZ8. Right now, I'm not willing to sink more money into this, though.

Hrm. Actually, the LZ8 might be better for me too, at least to start with...
