Everything smells like cinnamon

We had a power outage Saturday night. I ended up lighting a bunch of candles. Turns out, most of the candles I have are scented. (I didn't buy them - people gave them to me.) Fortunately, they're scents that go well together - cranberry-apple, cinnamon, and something harvest-y, maybe pumpkin pie. However, the entire apartment still smells like scented candle, two days later. And I just opened my bag and realized that that too smells scented candles. Sheesh. Powerful stuff.

Ah, reminds me of an episode of Top Chef, when they split the chefs into two teams, each to open a restaurant. One team decided to use scented candles in their restaurant, which totally overwhelmed the scent of any of the food and/or wine they were serving. :-P

...why would you do that?

Idiots.

This reminds me of the time that I burned Yankee Candle Company freesia, lilander and rose candles at the same time. TOXIC. It was like walking around with your nose stuck in a rose bush.

...lilander? What the hell, fingers? Lavender. Maybe there's a weird lilac and lavender hybrid flower somewhere...

Was wondering, wasn't going to say anything.

It doesn't smell bad, it's just kind of omnipresent.

I like fall smells best. They're much earthier (in a good way) than the spring bouquets. I own a mix of scented candles but they're almost all fall-friendly if they're not Christmas-tree scented ones (which is my absolute favorite because NOTHING smells better than a Christmas tree).
