In our rpg last night, we got the following quote (Chuckro is the GM):
Chuckro: It's as if a thousand voices screamed out in terror.
Us: And were suddenly silenced?
Chuckro:...no, they're still screaming.

In other news, I've recently picked three books to read, on vastly different topics - neuroscience, a serial killer in Florence, and Mae West. I didn't look at the authors while doing so. Every single one of them is affiliated with Princeton (and one with my museum as well).

Haha! It's not very hard to picture Chuck saying that :)

The particular group of characters they were playing have a tendancy to leave apocalypse in their wake. In this instance, [livejournal.com profile] ivy03 had gotten herself imprinted onto the fabric of Hell itself and decided to smash a hole into the real world. The damned city floating near her appendix didn't fare so well.

The question is, when we were getting the hell out of Neron's tower, were you expecting [livejournal.com profile] ivy03 to, ah, not leave?

I don't think he was expecting anything at all. He's learned better.

I second the vote in favor of your individual and collective awesomeness. Extra style points to [livejournal.com profile] chuckro on this one.

Well, should you find yourself visiting the greater NY/NJ area at any point, you're welcome to come game with us.

(Jethrien and I have discussed the possibility of moving Boston to the Bronx, replacing Weehawken with Pittsburg, and encouraging all of our friends not already in those places to move to New Bostonburg with us.)

huh :) I have considered the possibilities inherent in building an evil megalomaniacal device to cause the New York/New Jersey like area to have California-mild winters, and then moving everybody I know in the area. Sadly, it didn't work out.

Huh. I do too. It's the bitter gray cold mornings without snow and endless trudging with shoes smeared with mush that got to me.

Maybe we could have snow on specially recognized snow days?

I really look forward to weather control. Probably not in our lifetimes, unless I get myself cryogenically frozen! :)
