So our plans for the weekend centered around going to a bat mitzvah yesterday.
We carefully made sure to get home at a reasonable time Friday night. We packed a bag and figured out which train we were going to get on. We emailed Chuckro's folks to let them know the train and set the alarm.
Yesterday, we got up early with the alarm, got out of bed, and started getting ready. Chuckro checked his mail. His dad had responded, "Ok, that train sounds fine, but you know that the bat mitzvah is next weekend, right?"
Oops.
Best we can figure out, someone gave us the wrong date six or eight months ago, we put it on the calendar, and when we got the invitation, we didn't cross check. Because, hey, we'd already put it on the calendar.
Well, at least we didn't make the mistake the other way. If we'd thought it was this weekend and it was actually last weekend, we would have gotten a call from Chuckro's mom at 11 or something asking where the heck we were...while we were on a bus to Philadelphia.
