Perhaps we should have a cookbook moratorium for awhile

Yesterday, while away from the house, the subject of how many cookbooks we owned came up. I guessed around fifteen. We tried ticking them off on our fingers, and realized the total was more like twenty. When I glanced at the shelf when we got home, I realized we'd forgotten two or three. This morning, Chuck remembered another couple that I didn't include. I think the total's now up to about 26. Not including the recipe booklets that came with various appliances, such as the bread machine, the ice cream maker, the rice cooker...

I think maybe we need to stop buying cookbooks for a little bit.

Perhaps it's not you buying cookbooks that's the problem. Perhaps it's everyone you know buying you cookbooks. :)

And I don't cook at all and own at least ten. Isn't that the norm?
