A year end review, timed so next year's doesn't get this as the first post of 2007.

Go to your Calendar and find the first entry for each month of 2007. Post the first line (or so) of it in your journal, and that's your "Year In Review."

January:
So last year, someone made a comment that made me decide to keep track of all of the books I read. In the interest of not going totally insane, I didn't include comics, comic strip collections, trade paperbacks, magazines, cookbooks, travel guides, or stories read online. So without further ado:
I got behind on my list for this year sometime in February and gave up. Maybe next year.

February:
I dreamt that my mom and I went out for some kind of Middle Eastern food. We ended up at a place that wrapped meat and vegetables in pitas, but apparently she was trying to get something more like an Indian dish of meat and veggies in sauce. She kept asking the girl behind the counter for things they couldn't make, and both of them got very confused.

March:
The heavily-modified bread pudding recipe worked much better last night than the previous attempt. The last one came out waaay too squishy and not nearly bread-y enough. This time, I cut most of the liquid ingredients by a third, and the milk by two thirds. And added a couple tablespoons of cocoa powder and a generous helping of chocolate chips. Much better. Yay experiments that work!

April:
It really did start as a nice weekend. Went for a run. We spent a couple hours set-building for a theater group that's based a couple blocks from us. Went to Chuckro's parents' house for dinner for his dad's birthday. And then last night, Chuckro started to feel nauseated. And a little chilled. And rapidly progressed to being miserably, violently ill.

May:
Tobey Maguire is downstairs!

June:
Wow, this has been a really shitty day, for a variety of reasons. I really kind of wish I'd taken the day off, even though that would have been a terrible idea (since I'm going on vacation in a week or so, and part of the reason the day's so bad is because I'm trying to wrap a lot up).

July:
Gah, I'm so out of it today. I've felt vaguely lightheaded since I got up. So much trouble concentrating. Which is really unfortunate, given how much needs to get done at work today...

August:
...aaaand for the fourth day in a row, it's 8pm and I'm still here.

September:
Went visiting my folks in DC this weekend. (Someday, really, we'll visit other folks who also live there.) Went to the Building Museum and a bit of the National Portrait Gallery on Saturday, and the Maryland Renaissance Faire yesterday. And ate waaaay too much food, which always seems to happen whenever we visit either set of parents.

October:
I'm working on a Ren Faire costume for Chuckro. (Still a little nervous - I don't actually have a pattern, and I'm going off a costume maker's site online. I've already made one major mistake and managed to fix it. We'll see how this comes out.) My sewing machine spontaneously stopped working last night. After rereading the manual, and fiddling, and looking up stuff online, I finally gave up and called my mom. Who, of course, knew how to fix it.

November:
After not going to the theater for some time, we actually caught two shows this weekend, both excellent.

December:
Snowfall and Christmas cookie-baking with friends. Is there a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon at the beginning of December?
